FormFire Glassworks - Producing modern, clean and elegant lampwork beads, components and jewelry items.
Philosophy:
My architectural background has led to a love of clean, colorful and modern styling. I am currently working to translate this aesthetic into the fluid medium of glass. One of my favorite comments about my work is that my beads are like 'liquid color.' I am thrilled by the combination of pure color and clean design with the transparency that glass affords me. I am highly interested in both structure and form, and strive to create work that is both elegant and functional.
Glasswork:
Each of my pieces is handmade from Italian, German and American glass. All work is kiln-annealed for longevity and cleaned with a diamond reamer, ready for use. Most items are available ready-to-wear, or are available as beads alone.
I am happy to do custom orders - if you see any of my sold items that you like, or would like something you see in a different color, please contact me at amy@formfireglassworks.com to discuss options!
I am a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and am SRA #H104 and SRAJD#1422. My work can be seen on TrunkT and Martha Stewart/Wedding Wire.
